Hi  for information regarding informing the local police that my house is being rented out. I understand that l must inform them! I have looked on their web site for forms but not sure if that's what required from or what to do. Any help please.

Rules vary depending on whether you are renting for short-term (holiday) lets, or long-term (minimum contract now 5 years).

Either way you must have a legal tenancy agreement, so ask the people you used to set this up.

Generally the person's you renting from havel a legal responsibility to sign you in and where staying and for how long with the Policia and to sign you when you leave. It is also an integral part of their legal property licencing and registration agreement.
