Dang! This sounds like a third world country! I hope it gets fixed! So far so so good for us. We use the same companies and aren't there during July and August. When we bought 2 years ago our lawyers hooked us up with all the bills to the bank. Since managing the bills on our own, still can't get a paper statement till today to our address to see the actual usage, itemized bill.

We plan to physically stop at both offices on our  next trip and see if we can actually get both statements billed to our address.

The same with our medical insurance. We still can't get an actual medical card ID! It's being 2 years since we applied and started paying. They keep telling us it's in the mail...

Really, the positive makes up for all the negative and we feel in the long run its worth our stress free health having bought in Spain. Expert say it's good to weigh the positive VS the negative.

Best wishes to all and thank you for all the good information💜

Nice one Ginger.

I was also told check all connections to the pool workings in the pump house unit.

Some connections have metal connectors into plastic connectors, not a god idea, as both expand at a different rate, and this results in the plastic connector getting a small split around the thread area length, it results in a small leak which you would not see for some time as you would not often do a close inspection.

Ours leaked for about a month ( still awaiting this water bill )

We were also advised to inspect all ground where you can roughly follow the expected run of the main water pipe coming into the property, do it after a hot day, late evening, when the ground surface cools down, if there is a leak, you will see it on the surface, sounds strange, but it works, we know we found it.

Best thing to do is set up online accounts for both water & electric.

Easy enough to do, then you can see all your bill etc online.

Go onto the Iberdrola Night & Day tariff, my bills dropped by 60% when I went onto it.

Its not like the E7 UK tariff as both the day and night rate are cheaper than I was paying before, the night rate by a massive amount.

Apply online or email them, I found their English speaking customers services brilliant, better than UK utilities.

There is a man on the costa blanca pages of this site.

He is called jim.

he does extensive guides called Jims guide to ….. . They are fantastic. he explains in numptyese, how to get best deals. he translates relevant points and goes through forms in an easy way to understand. there are guides for both water and electricity, amongst loads of other things.

I would advise you all to have a look at these he rarely gives his opinion he just gives the translated facts.
