Hi After buying in 2015/16 we paid ×2 royalty payments over the next 2 years in areas through our solicitors. After this we became residents in 2019.I was then very ill for 2 years and could not get to pay my remaining royalty tax after being told not to go through the solicitor as they were charging too much for this procedure.Yes I know it should have been done in Any case but my question is how can i rectify the remaining arreas in a way that is cost effective ie no fine if that is possible.?

Royalty tax ?

Not sure what this is.

If you mean SUMA or NRT, use a tax gestor or Assessoria - explain your circumstances and pay, before they chase you.

If you became Residents in 2019, you are into Spanish income tax, so you need a gestor/assessoria anyway.

Not true: if your affairs are simple (pension income, no rental income, no sale of assets abroad etc) you can do it yourself !
