Hi

Bambus operates this service and I have used it twice within the last two weeks - very limited number of buses each day but excellent quality coaches with large suitcase space and reclining seats

https://www.busbam.com/horarios/cartagena-alicante/

A couple of points to note:

The coach from Alicante starts at Alicante coach station and heads straight to the airport where it pulls in on the top floor near the C6 airport bus - its destination board says Cartagena

If possible book in advance online

If not it is cash only - strictly no cards - and the prices seem a lot higher than advanced booking though this fact needs verifying

I paid less than 9 euros single including booking fee - journey time of two hours

Thankyou for your reply. We've used this bus in the past. It is a comfortable journey and you get to see various places.

Last time we got the bus we had to go downstairs in the airport, someone said it was now operating from the same level as you exit the airport, next to Costa? The timetable says from June to September, do you know if it is the same or restricted in March?

Hi

There are separate Winter and Summer schedules - the Winter one only has two buses a day

Go to this website to see the schedules

Thanks

There are actually  3 buses a day at this time  , and 2 on a Sunday. As mentioned you collect it upstairs now.

It arrives at alicante Airport 10 to 15mins after it leaves bus station.

This is timetable I picked up from them helpful folks in Tourist office in Ribera

Note1: LAT bus to MURCIA city now replaced with InterBus

Note2: La Immaculata bus service now replaced with MOVIBUS/ALSA

Hi

Click on this link for the timetable:

https://www.busbam.com/horarios/cartagena-alicante/

The bus stop is outside the Telefonica building on Av Mar Menor, 50 metres up from Hotel Trabuco

My recent bus was 10 minutes late and two others stopped in the meantime so either check the destination board on the front or ask the driver - the service is based on prebooking on the BUSBAM website however I saw that the driver will take cash but definitely not credit or debit cards
