I am flying in from Dublin on Sunday 3rd October no flights to Murcia so had to fly into Alicante. I had only bought my property in March 3019 and due to the pandemic have not been able to get put. Having great difficulty trying to get reasonable transport from Alicante to La Ribera. HELP

Hi Mags13,

Best of luck with new purchase.

I see another company called BAM have taken over the Globilia bus run.

BAM currently go via airport and down to Santiago de la Ribera. But it appears only 3 buses per day. And from a bus rank down under the airport.Maybe check facebook.

There is still a different bus service from alicante airport direct to Torrevieja. Its very handy. And then a taxi down to La Ribera.

I am hoping to fly Shannon to Alicante next week. Am going to San Pedro del Pinatar. Am currently getting prices for taxi as its a very late flight.

Will keep you updated.

Hi YungAtHeart,

I’m interested in hearing how much a taxi was from Torrevieja to San PdP?

The bus from the airport to Torrevieja and then a taxi might be an option to expensive car hire.

thanks….

Hi everyone,

I recently moved to Santiago de la Ribera from New York to teach English as an auxiliar de conversacion in a public school here. I only work four days each week and am planning on traveling around Europe on my long weekends thru ALC airport. I see that Ruta 1 on this bus line can take me from my apartment near the Virgen de Loreto II stop and get me to ALC airport in 1h 10m.

The 2h+ time in the screenshot attached includes a 43 minute walk from the ALC airport bus stop to ALC airport which is inaccurate- I do not believe there is any walk at all and this bus brings you right to the airport.

It is great news that there is a bus that can practically take me directly from my apartment to the airport-- but I'm nervous that it's too good to be true. How do you pay for this bus and how much does it cost? Can I pay with Apple Pay? When does it come and does it still stop at this Virgen de Loreto stop after the change to BAM from Globalia? Didn't see that stop on the link posted by "YungAtHeart" here https://www.busbam.com/horarios/cartagena-alicante/

Thanks in advance for your help and for this forum!

Update- I went to the bus stop and the bus did not show up. I asked another bus driver and he said that BAM goes to Alicante so I guess OP was right about Globalia now being BAM. Bummer!

Hi,

You will find a timetable for BamBam on the bus stop outside the Mar Menor hotel (in Santiago de la Ribera) and another at the bus stop across the road…..and if you know where the Tourist Information is they should be able to help.

Friends of ours talk of a bus from the airport to Elche and then a bus to San Javier….perhaps something to investigate…

Thanks for your update.
