Thank you for that helpful information. I agree about Cielo - it’s small but very very good - a real gem. Their opening hours don’t always suit but definitely worth a visit. I had to leave in a hurry once and Chris very kindly put my uneaten food in a suitable container so I was able to enjoy it later at my leisure.
There is a decent Asian in Pinatar Park as well Oisin and it’s very nicely decked out. V reasonable prices for quite good Asian food.
I haven’t tried Los Molinos yet but will now that you have alerted me to it and I’m afraid I thought Venezuela didn’t quite compare with La Lonja in Santiago for us but a lovely location. we felt it was over hyped but maybe we were just unlucky. We went twice in our early days in San P. Maybe they have upped their game now.
There is another well regarded place down where the salt flats are called Mardesal. Great location. We have mixed views though. Not consistently good being the main one. It gets very busy but good service we thought & a rather special location.
And Campbell’s Irish pub in Roda is very friendly and yes, it is Irish owned by MikeCampbell from Drogheda. Good pub food too.
Thanks again for all the tips, they’re v welcome. Oh there’s one in Alcázares in the main food drag there where there are a lot of dining options and bars. . It’s called Hemming-way (presume the hyphen has to do with rights). Again, not consistent but you can strike gold there too. And Little Sicily is in the same area - very popular and good Italian food.
