Swimming Pools - Page 2

Ray we have had quotes ranging from 11k to 13k just for the pool itself (irregular shape but around 7m x 6m at widest parts)  but are having other work done at same time (around 60sqm of tiling around pool and terraces and also 50 linear meters of wall raised) this is where it gets interesting because every company has given hugely differing quotes for these other parts of the job. 

Hoping to make our decision this week 🙏

Hi kimbo thanks for your reply that more positive like I said I was think over €20000 might I suggest you go an have a look at previous works builders are only as good as there last job I too will want building works extra please post how you get on you know what it’s like when you want to find out about things and best of luck I hope it all goes as planned with no problems might I suggest a payment schedule so you pay as you go etc just to protect your self

i was wondering if you came to decision on the pool im currently having work done to my property raising the front wall whilst im still stuck in the uk (to be safe i think) ive booked to come over for three weeks in nov and was wondering if you went ahead with the pool as you know any info would be greatly appreciated its very difficult to get any response from anyone in spain when you get in touch from the uk

Yes we went with Ocean Pools who are based in Los Alcazares. I had 5 quotes in total, most were more or less the same (within 2k of each other), except 1 which was quite low (almost 7k less) and 1 which was 50% more expensive than the 3 middle priced quotes. 

I have just signed all the architect´s paperwork today so it will be submitted to Ayntamiento this week to apply for our licence.

Hoping to start construction within next few weeks and be finished in around 5/6 weeks tops (lots of extra work also included other than just the pool, terraces, walls etc too) 

Hopefully you will be able to get to Spain in the next month or so.
