Hello,
We have recently bought a holiday home in Santiago de la Ribera and are trying to sort out direct debits etc for the various taxes.
Unlike our previous holiday home the basuras tax does not appear to be payable through the water bill, can anyone advise us how it is paid and how we can arrange payment of these bills?

I keep an eye on a relative's holiday home in La Ribera.
The Basura bill arrives in his letter box. I pay it online for him.

Thanks very much for replying. I think I'm OK with paying the bill, I just don't know how to get a copy of it to pay with.
Are you able to tell me what department sends them out, perhaps an address or better still an email address, so I can contact them. I don't speak Spanish so cannot easily telephone anybody. Any help much appreciated.

This is the website for paying the local taxes.
There is an email to contact the council. I emailed them on a subject (I used Google Translate) and they responded within a day or two.
