Have been to Sucina   a couple of times and liked the area. Have been reading some older posts on here regarding fly infestations, smells and general unkemptness of area. I haven't witnessed neither but that could be down to the time of year of visit. Are there still lots of fly infestations and long term muck spreading etc?

I looked at old and new properties whilst there and had a lovely meal in the square where I met lots of expats. They said property is way over priced at present both resale and new, is this a general opinion.  Estate agents always say property is flying of shelves yet I see the same for sale a year later. What is the general opinion?

Where is the best place to inquire about long term rentals in Sucina?

Are you an expat? Do you love the area?

Thanks in advance. Tx

Long term lets: Murcia property service or Sunshine holiday let's

We love the area, things are over dramatized on here. Show me an arrid country is a countryside location that has no flies or some farm smells on occasion.

Prices of new builds are horrendous, resale property will get you much more for your money. I think resale is fairly priced and most are open to offers. We paid about half the price of a new build we were considering and got more for our money

I lived in USA, the mosquitoes were far worse. Lived in Scotland and the midges are unbearable.

Thank you somuch for your prompt reply. I live in a village in the UK surrounded by farm land so I completely understand rural problems. However earlier posts made the fly and smell  problem sound unbearable with people being trapped in their homes! Pleased you're  enjoying life there.  Tx

I've always lived in the countryside in UK, it's almost a home from home.

Yes there can be smells at times, but that's the countryside and people of chosen to live here. Alternative is a good course or coastal, but good if you want to be full time then coastal will be a nightmare in holiday season.

There's always a compromise, for us we didn't want to be amongst the holiday makers.

Thanks Beanie, agreed there is always a compromise. I think I'll have to make a point of being there in July and August to see what the fly and smell situation is like.  We will probably rent first anyway so we can leave our options open. Thanks again.
