Hi all

Am thinking of going for Residency and was wondering if anybody had done it recently who was under the official retirement age. We are both under 55 and dont intend to work in Spain. We are lucky that we own our house outright and are self sufficient monetary so as not to be a burden on the state. I do understand about fiscal residency and am not asking about this.

Therefore, can anyone recommend health care providers that meet the residency requirements, how much they pay and also how they went about getting residency here in Murcia.

Many thanks

Ade

Would there be any advice for you on Gov.Uk/healthcare-in-Spain?  I know there is various info on the web, form S1 when you go to live in Spain as well there is info about prescription charges based on age and income.  Good Luck to you both and enjoy your new life in the sun.

There is some kind of info on www.angloinfo.com

As I understand it you would probably have to get enrolled into that convenial especiales.  Have a look .....it says about charges etc towards prescriptions as well.

Ps I'm trying to work through it myself but do not have youth on my side!!
