Until the UK leaves the EU could someone explain how it is legal to be charged a non residents tax on property owned in Spain? If a Spaniard  owns a property in the UK they would not pay such a tax in the UK. I thought under EU law their had to be parity for all EU nationals.

I would be very grateful for advice on local taxes in the San Pedro Del Pinatar area. I would imagine the same "rules" apply in other areas so any information from anywhere in the Costa Calida would be welcomed.

I bought a property in Lo Pagan in June 2018 and have just received an email from my Solicitor to say I have to pay local taxes (Suma/IBI?) of 354 euros and he will soon be doing this on my behalf (he has power of attorney).

I have done some research which seems to say that whoever owns a property on January 1st is liable for the taxes for the whole of that calendar year i.e. in my case the previous owners. I was not informed that any taxes were outstanding when I bought the property in June.

Could anyone help me with what exactly the legal position is?

I am looking for an Adults bike in any condition. 

I prefer a City bike or a Road bike but would consider a Mountain bike if the price was right. Some gears needed but doesn't have to be lots.

I am in San Pedro Del Pinatar but can travel within the Costa Calida or Southern Costa Blanca to view/collect.

Hi all, we’re having some work done on a house we’ve recently bought so stayed in a local hotel for a few nights which had its air con switched off, it was quite warm on the nights we stayed a few weeks ago so we made the mistake of opening our balcony door only slightly just to let a little air in and were bit to pieces every night, so apart from nets which we’ve been told don’t really work are there any trick anyone uses to stop these from happening when we stay over in our house? We’re very near the lasxsalinas and av del puerto which probably doesn’t help

Hi , for my sins , I am President of a flourishing community in San Pedr del Pinater  .  We have a large dish and cabling to around 30 properties who access English tv via a box.

Unfortunately the company who were contracted to maintain it disappeared.

If anyone could recommend a tv maintenance company it would be greatly appreciated.

Would anyone recomend a provider of a Wifi system that we can use whilst out here. I am thinking of a system that is installed and subscribe when we are out here. Thank you.

We have just moved to San Pedro from Andalucia and need to register with the doctors.

We can go to San Pedro or Lo Pagan does anyone know if there is an English speaking doctor available.

Hello, we are thinking of buying a car to use when we are in San Pedro and also for our family and friends to use.

We were told originally that anyone over 30 would be allowed to drive the car with our permission but we have now been told that they will need to have an NI number, can anyone tell me which is correct please?
