Good afternoon everyone. We’ll be residing on the outskirts of Calasparra shortly and we’re not sure how the postal service works as we’ve read conflicting things. Does mail get delivered to your home or do you have to pick up mail from an allocated mailbox? In anticipation of your help, thanks.

As you live in the Campo (I assume) you may well have a delivery service. On Valle del Sol we go to collect our mail either in a mailbox (paid) or ask at the counter (free).

Living in the campo means a very erratic postal service. I live in the campo, the mail is collected to the sorting office, collected by ? And when there is enough for your area gets delivered to post boxes located in the centre of our small village. When we drive through the village to see if we have but it can be 2-3 even 4 weeks without. I have written this before and from responses this system is not unusual.

Hmm seems as though we’d better look into purchasing/ renting a mailbox when we arrive. Thanks one and all for all your very helpful advice and info.
