Hello all,

We are starting our house viewings later this month in Callasparra 😁

Just a couple of questions if you don’t mind

What is the all year round weather  . . So many different temps on various sites đŸ€Šâ€â™€ïž
Is fibre optic broadband available?đŸ’»

Is there a pool service provider in the area - cost?

Is there a vet in the town or close?

And finally for those that have moved to Callasparra to retire how are you finding integrating into the town?

Thank you in advance 🙂

Hi

We live inland and we use IPV6, if you Google it, it will bring it up. Regarding pools wait till your start your house search you might get one already to jump into!! đŸŠâ€â™‚ïžđŸŠâ€â™‚ïž

Hi and good luck with your house search. Calasparra is not for everyone as it can be a bit quiet for some. We have been here 14years & love it.  Try AccuWeather for a decent weather report.  There a few guys on the Urbanisations who do pool cleaning but don't know the cost as I have always done my own. There is Fibre Optic on the Urbs. & town but don't know about the Campo (countryside) if that's where you are looking to buy. There a few providers for the service, Movistar, Redimer or Calasparra Television, just depends what you want and if within Budget. There is a Vet in town - Quipar Vetentary Services (Maria) but we use a guy (Alfonso) in the next town of Cehegin at the Via Verde Vetentary Clinic - just a personal choice really.

Hope that's given you an idea & if you want more info. PM me.

Rick

Do not underestimate how cold it gets in southern Spain over the winter. It does.

There is a very clever marketing slogan which says that the area gets 320 days of sunshine a year which generally it does.

But as we all know from the UK it can be sunny and perishingly cold.

Just so you know.

To add to Simon,s info it's the nights that can be bitterly cold. Spanish homes are generally uninsulated and once the sun goes down (quite early in winter) the home becomes very cold. Ask the questions, central heating-tick, woodburner- tick, you will need them

Regards

Pauline
