You won't be disappointed with the choice of Bars/Restaurants in and around Calasparra and everyone will have their favourite place and menu choice. It certainly depends on the environment or menu choice that you prefer. As ledgleigh put her top 5, I will follow the theme also La Plaza, La Tasca (just won Spanish award for his menu),  Bar  Centro, Bar Matavinos(Valentin) but no: 1 for us is Casa de Cristo in Moratalla - spectacular views, lovely environment with a great menu.  You won't be spoilt for choice that's for sure.

That's great to know. We will give Casa de Cristo a go next time we are over that way !

Lovely to share experiences.

Thanks,

I will say the Sanctuary and river walk behind Calasparra. Google it to see views.

No doubt others will have more...

Ledgleigh.

There are loads of walks around Calasparra, around and up to San Miguel Ermita, up to the Joshua Stone at the end of Molino Mountain, around the Rice Fields to the weir the other side of the Station, walks around the Embalse de Argos and Cenajo.  If you like walking and like to see different areas in Murcia, look at WARM - Walks Around the Region of Murcia on Facebook. They have 2 groups, Warm (long walks) & SWARM - Short Walks Around etc etc.  Are you staying on an Urbanisation or in the Campo when you visit ?

Wherever it is in Calasparra, I am sure you will love the town and surroundings - it's not Benidorm or Torremolinos so don't expect Hen & Stag do entertainment on the streets.  However, depending on when you come there may be local Fiestas to see and join in with. There may also be some entertainment on the Valle del Sol Urbanisation supporting local charities.  Hope you have a great time when you are here.  Here is the Town Hall Website & Facebook links which will post events as they are organised.                                        https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064558397496
