Camposol B section. Upper level. Newspapers, cards etc.

Thank you so much. I am applying for a working & residence visa. What do I need to have in place to stay here whilst it's all being sorted please? As I don't want to go back to the UK as it took two days to get here by car with my youngest Son & animals too. Some people have said in need to go back to the UK to apply & then come when I have the visas through. Others have said if im doing voluntary work & have a large amount of funds in my bank account this will help me to stay here whilst it's all going through

The process is based on attendance at a consulate in the UK. A lot of reading to do but start here? https://www.ageinspain.org/post/non-lucrative-visa-nlv-guide

A working visa is a different ballgame - if you intend to be self-employed you will have to meet strict criteria (business plan, working capital etc) and if you hope to work for an employer here you need a firm offer of a contract, and need to be in a job that a Spaniard cannot do.

Think you should enjoy your stay as a holiday, looking at areas to live, then return to the UK.

There is so many differing versions of what you have to do to obtain the residencia etc., everyone seems to have versions of what is needed. All I can do is tell you just what I and my wife did to obtain residential status.. We enlisted the help and services of a lady who handled everything for us. She even collected us and took us to the police station in Lorca and everything went smoothly and quickly. You case may be different to ours as we had lived in Spain for a number of years.  But my advice would be to just contact the lady,  Fiona by name,  and ask her for her advice as to how she can help. Her charges to us we thought very reasonable as it took all the pressure off us. Hope it works for you. Details below. Brian . E mail detail.
