Come on, lets fight them all the way.

The legal team said, ( kick up a fuss, make them have it, show them we will not give in, stick together, and make the turn outs as large as possible. )

Yes we are in their country, but we pay our way, bring lots of work for the Spanish, support local Spanish buissness, pay a great deal of IBI into the system, including taxes, and they know it.

We have a large sum of money given to us by the courts for Camposol upgrades, I have no doubt the council would love to keep it, but its ours, and we must make them use it for us, and get the legal team to ask for a list and names of where every single Euro was spent, and who agreed to spend it.

The council will not like to show this, but we must insist, and through the court if required.

They want us to give in, and will challenge every move we make, but we will not give in.

I thought we were already fighting them though the Camposol Residents Assoc. - But it is very difficult to fight someone who just ignores you. We should start to make our voices heard through a mass boycott of IBI for starters. - After all we get nothing much for paying it!  Then boycotting these Council Meetings, - which are just a sham! or disrupting them with our own agenda .Insisting the CRA take a more pro-active stance on our behalf and letting members attend their meetings with the Town Hall. We are people with nothing to lose for taking a hard line, but we will soon all be losers living here if we don't.

Everyone has a view and after a chance meeting today with Phil from the CRA it is obvious to me that with all the limitations that we put on the CRA with lack of financial support and expecting them to be able to fight our battles without proper finance and almost no in person support at the meetings other than the CRA what do we expect, there are so many opportunities if we all work together with Phil and his small team, unfortunately as Phil is one of the few that raises his head above the parapet he does seem to be shot down by so called friendly fire which is a shame

Come on Camposol back the CRA and give us the best chance to get what Camposol needs

Ambiguity is the last thing we need

Agree with you on many points, but lets put on a fantastic show to the Mayor, and his cronies, a mass turn out will shock them, as they hope no one shows, as they simply say, we did our bit, but no one from Camposol seemed to care, thats how they will get away with it,

Not sure what happens if we with hold IBI, bare in mind there are many on Camposol who have never paid it, thats why you have to show the receipt for payment of IBI when you do your Spanish tax return each year now, of course many as well who do not pay tax, and never filled out the 720, so remain under the radar, until they come to sell up, as per the guy who was charged just over EUROS 40-000 when he came to sell, he was in shock, but his own fault, my mate who bought his property could not believe how much he lost on the sale.

We need to back the CRA also, and pay our fee so they can get the legal team to continue to work for us, to date they have saved the fate of many residents properties re the Rambla, and the water diversion, along with the fight to get us the award the court has made for Camposol.

Clearly ignoring them is not working following the number of questions/complaints from your previous mail

I would suggest that a compromise on both sides is required. We all believe that Spain depends on the money from foreigners to keep their economy ticking over, however, it seems that Mazarron has an issue with us being here. Not sure if just Camposol or all local urbanisations but it seems to me if Camposol prospered and more properties were sold then the council coffers would improve, more improvements could be made on Camposol and everyone is happy/ier.

Permanent residents will not turn up at these "Big Meetings" organized by Mazarron Council because they are only for the benefit of the Council.  They use the so called Foreigners Officer to make sure we all understand their diktats - which never change : Pay up, and shut up you cash cows - ...

...for the privilege of living here. We have heard it all before and will not comply with their demands.

Why should we supplement the Police prescence here when it is clearly the Council responsibility?

Why is there no acceptable local transport here ? or indeed no mini-bus service or taxi licences granted?

Why is the Health Surgery not user friendly?

Why do we have no street lights, even on main roads?

I could go on. This Mayor is the one who at the last meeting answered the few questions allowed with "I don't know".

WELL I DO.

Well said and true.
