I’ve only just seen this. I couldn’t agree more Caixa are a complete rip off. I’m a non res and manage to get over to my place on Camposol only a few times a year, I pay €14 per month to Caixa and they’ve just taken €35 I went on there online form completion to query what this was for and I’ve not heard anything from them ? I thought it might be an annual fee as it was when I was with Bankia but looking at other comments it seems it’s quarterly - nothing short of shocking so I’ll look into this when I’m next over. On another note can anyone advise on the following!

Car hire this year is extortionate- I’ve always paid for ultimate / fully comp cover as I don’t want any car hire company blocking my card €1000 + as is the case if you only take out third party cover with them - not that I’ve got a credit card as I’ve always just used a debit card for my own reasons. I’ve also considered by a cheap? Runaround and leaving it in storage over there but that also comes with various costs and considerations. All in all this is a complete nuisance even worse than the banking issue in my opinion. Any suggestions would be very much apprec

I brought a left hand Spanish reg car from lhd dealer Basingstoke, drove it over to spain registration now in my name itv done and park at Alicante or Murcia for € 400 a year for 2 airport, but going up in February to €425. Plane parking is who I use you get out off airport call them 20 minutes later car arrives all washed and ready to go. Hope this helps you to not consider another Spanish company Ie banks ripping us off.

Hi JTB

Thanks for this information. Can you provide details of the lhd dealer in Basingstoke. Although I’m sure there would be one near me. Did you specifically request if they had any Spanish registration plate cars or did you just touch lucky as I thought the whole process had to be done once in Spain. Sorry if this seems a silly question but it’s all new to me

Cheers Jim

Thanks guys, I have downloaded the wise app. And when next over will transfer all my direct debits to them, then good bye bank charges. And also no waiting ages to chat to someone in bank at portue de Mazarrón. So win win thanks.

Good morning.

I’m going to open a new WISE EUR account but how do you get all the direct debits that pay your Electric, water, solicitors accounts transferred over to your new Wise account?

Thanks
