With regards t this wearing a mask, I cannot find any rule that says so, even the World Health Org. say wearing a mask is not necessary unless you HAVE the virus, Not me saying it , its the WORLD HEALTH ORG:

  • The World Health Organization held a media briefing to update the public on the COVID-19 outbreak. Streamed live Monday, 30 March.
  • WHO officials do not recommend mask wearing for healthy members of the general population.
  • Masks should be worn by those with the disease or those in close contact with those infected.
  • As lockdowns become more prevalent, family spread will become more common.

To wear or not to wear? That has become the key question during the pandemic as the face mask has become a symbol of our changed lives under coronavirus. Still, months after the pandemic began to spread, many people still remain unsure about whether a mask is essential to keep them safe.

Messages differ from country to country. The US Surgeon General pleaded with the public in February to stop buying masks, while countries such as South Korea and Japan distributed them to the public. Recently the Czech Republic and Slovakia even made them mandatory. World Health Organization (WHO) officials helped clarify how they recommend masks can best be deployed at a briefing on 30 March.

Here's a simple question.

How do you know that you either have or do not have the virus, if you have no symptoms?

It's contagious BEFORE symptoms become apparent, and some infected people (carriers) will not manifest symptoms at all.

Do you see where that leads?

The WHO also states that there are increased risks if people do not remove masks correctly. How many of the people using them know how to do this?

Please Please read what type of Virus this is, it is a CONTACT VIRUS not an AIRBORNE VIRUS. Wear disposable gloves and if you wear a mask, use it and dispose of it.

The rules say that only the driver (wearing a mask) should be in a car unless there is a justifiable reason to have a passenger. If two people are in the car, the passenger must sit on the back seat, also wearing a mask. This is eminently sensible if the two people are not from the same household...

... (eg taxi driver and fare - if taxis are still available??) but a bit daft if both people are sharing a home and a bed! And a bit illogical that someone, driving their own car alone, has to wear a mask. Still, rules is rules.

Logic does not exist in Spain

We live in the country and I see lots of vans going past, only the driver inside, and they're all wearing masks. On the other hand, a Guardia car passed me the other day when I was walking the dog; there were two occupants, both in the front and neither wearing a mask.

The law about strict limits on drivers and alcohol never stopped the Guardi from having their morning coffee and brandy!

It's all a bit academic if there are no masks available isn't it ?
