To All,

I have just seen and heard on channel 4 news two professional ladies discuss this virus and what the affects could be!!! Unbelievable what rubbish was spoken by these two.It really is a no brainer, when they talk about how can a family survive on 90 pounds per week- you adjust! and how people can cope about living behind closed doors for a while, loneliness and the like,-get real ladies.I would also like to add that it seems to me that the British government to this day, like to ask rather than to tell and implement measures to try and safeguard the general public by ordering special measures in this time of a deadly crisis worldwide.I will finish by congratulating the stand made by the Spanish government to make the general public be aware of the seriousness of the situation.

If I remember correctly, the Spanish government had to remind the Spanish people to stay indoors by sending vans with megaphones explaining that they must stay indoors and not walk around in groups.

Up until a week ago the number of people with corona virus was very small in the UK also the UK is 3 weeks behind the rest of Europe.  The majority of people in the UK have been self isolating of their own accord for at least 10 days now - just a small minority of idiots not doing so.

I don’t think now is the time to throw stones,

Hi,the point I was making was people should use their own common sense whatever nationality they are.

The British government has been very slow in implementing these new measures compared to other countries,3 weeks behind or whatever timeline.

Well I take it back, just been told by a friend on Facebook page, that when she went to the doctors this morning (she has an autoimmune problem) that our local park is packed with people having picnics, unbelievable, how stupid.

Maybe you have a point after all, we brits are stupid 😀

Does anyone knows when the lockdown would be lifted please? Or has it been extended for another 15 days?

I wish everyone good health and care during this devastating coronavirus period. I am sure most of the diagnosed patients will conquer the virus in the best way possible.

At the end of the day, when the virus is conquered, we will sit down together once again and enjoy what we love.

In the meantime, my condolences go the families of those that have lost someone.

Also, my appreciation go to the frontline workers such as the nurses, doctors, police, to name few, for wonderful work they have been undertaken. Some died in the process, may their souls rest in perfect peace.

Stay blessed and stay safe.

presme you mean in Spain? Currently we have another two weeks ..until Easter Sunday 12/4 this effectively prevents all the huge gatherings for Semana Santa celebrations.

The government are ‘considering’ a further 2weeks until 27th April but will review the data on 7/8 April before making a decision.

All non essential businesses and workers are to close or stop work from tomorrow!

Thanks for this. We are scheduled to sail out to UK on 27th April and fly out on 1st May to Barbados. If Brittany Ferries cancel the crossing, then we are roasted here in Spain

I really cannot see that any ferries will resume sailing at least for some months. They are protesting that they are doing it (cancelling) to reduce people traffic, but in reality I think the crews are voting with their feet, terrified about being trapped on a ship with 1000 people from god knows where. Would anyone on here fancy it?

This has been very helpful.  I will wait the B.F cancels the crossing.
