However, also have flights booked in early September returning in October so as soon as regular flights are confirmed will look to switch September to as early as we can

You should be able to cancel your flight and book another on their app (if you have smart phone) or go on your laptop/ipad and do it on there.  I could not do mine on my phone as no "Manage Disruption" was showing but on laptop it was possible.
