Hi, I’ve seen a good deal on a hire car with Budget rent a car at Covera airport. Has anyone used this company?
The website says you collect the car outside the airport via a shuttle bus, surely they mean outside the terminal building any info would be app
Budget has a good reputation internationally, but I've never used them in Spain.
The car rental area at Corvera is off one of the service roads at the far side of the car parks from the terminal, which is why they will take you there using a shuttle bus.

Budget are about 3 miles down the road at a garage / restaurant setting near the roundabout for the airport road ...dobyour homework in insurance and alleged damage after...take pictures before...point out any blemishes there and then take pictures ..its become a licence to print money post lockdown and they all know you just want to get in the car and be off because its your holiday and hot..don't be pressured ..prepare before hand

The email invoice I got says they use Avis which is just outside the airport, I have hired cars many times and I understand the pitfalls, I was ripped off about 5 years ago by Hertz.
It’s a minefield and an industry that needs looking at, I’ve taken out excess damage insurance in the UK but the car hire company still insist on trying to bully you into buying theirs.

Ok good that you are aware of pitfalls ..avis and budget are both on the same site at that cepsa petrol station restaurant off the perimeter of the airport hence the shuttle..all the other providers are on site so need for shuttle ....

try Okmobility, they are off airport but they do pick you up and drop you off, they are not like the others that try to rip you off and you can normally get them via CarJet.com or doyouspain (both are the same company) these guys are the best way to hire

Thanks I’ve gone with the dreaded Goldcar, I’ve got excess insurance but no doubt will be told it’s invalid and a 3cm scratch will cost me north of €800, this industry really boils my pi$$ I got shafted by Hertz who charged my card for a new wing mirror which I didn’t do, the photo they sent could have been six months old, how many other victims got charged for that ‘new’ mirror, but my wife and I spend a good 10 minutes going round and taking pictures
They best no hassle company I have used by far is Victoria rent a car at Alicante, almost worth the extra driving to save grief.

20 euros for 2 minutes at the speed they go ..ridiculous . They could pick you easily..its the world's quietest approach road to any airport...no wonder nobody uses them ..Good luck ..

Don’t wish to throw a spanner in the works, but I would stay away from Goldcar, pay pennies now pay pounds later!!
Centauro followed by firefly are the two companies I have had best experience with.
Centauro seem to have priced themselves out at the moment though,
