OK it will take a lot of time, as all the answers will have a long read.
Enjoy
I have followed this forum for a few years, joining yesterday. Be warned, the posts which are from a negative perspective often just disappear, the poster blocked. Camposol is not everyone's cup of tea and the prices reflect the ongoing problems and the, trying to be diplomatic, less than ideal construction qualities.
I love the Mazarron area and it's a great place for longer stay residential tourism or as an area to retire into. It's not busy in the winter but it's all still open! The climate is perfect. I don't speak a word of Spanish yet have never been in difficulty. Property prices are very good value everywhere, and a great deal of choice.
The Camposol residents association have a website and there are literally hundreds of videos from Expat in Mazarron on YouTube, all professional, entertaining and informative. The guy lives in Camposol.
Its also possible to rent long term and for a few months at a time. We first rented a panaramic sea view penthouse apartment in Mojon Hills, 600 euro a month in winter, including utilities! We bought our place in the sun back in 2015 and still have mixed feelings about wether we should have bothered. Renting at such good value, with none of the hassle, is worth serious consideration!
Hope this helps.

I don't think Admin remove negative posts as such, but unfortunately a number of threads about Camposol start to degenerate into very rude & sometimes quite abusive posts.
The posts then become a slanging match which helps nobody.
These are quite rightly removed along with the person or persons making them.
The posters seem to fiercely defend Camposol, and who can blame them. I often see posters 'warts and all' sort of comments from residents who appear to bitterly regret buying into the place, which is fair enough and in my opinion just as helpful as those telling how wonderful it is.
Off course, like anywhere I suppose, jumping on a plane with cheque book in hand, buying in haste regretting at leisure is a bad situation to find oneself in. I sort of fall into that situation myself having bought shortly before Brexit. I bought in 2015 and would not have done so by 2016. I never imagined that the UK would vote to leave in a million years. I seriously underestimated the number of bigots and racists living in England.

Hang on....you're almost starting another Brexit slanging match. Brexit should be history, it's the Covid situation which is affecting most of us wishing to travel now The OP was asking about living at Camposol, not sure if that would be for vacations or full time.

Hardly relevant when the o.p. is asking about buying in Camposol.
We don't live on Camposol and would have no desire to do so.
If you are thinking of buying there you should probably think about renting and making up your own mind.
Forums tend to be worst place to get advice on living wherever. There will be the lovers and the haters.
Go there, experience it, if it is for you, then go for it. There are loads of lovely places on the Costa Calida so you have a great opportunity, depending on what you want.
Good luck.
Bit of a broad comment about racists and bigots in the UK. Think you will find those in every country, even Spain
As for Camposol I totally agree that it is not everyone's cup of tea but I also understand those who defend it. There are some lovely properties on Camposol and yes some have dodgy backgrounds but that was just standard back in the day when everyone wanted a deal at the best price
Things have moved on and although Brexit has limited the time 2nd homeowners can spend in Spain you can still spend 90 days as opposed to a 2 week package holiday which is what the majority of people are limited to
Not all doom and gloom but again reiterate, not everyone's cup of tea
Just pay for good advice like anywhere succes
