We are hoping to buy a property in Spain and Camposol seems quite cheap.
Is it safe to buy in Camposol or do you have to be careful where to buy?
Hi, we were in the same boat as you two months ago, we spent a month reading forums and alike, good and bad, then decided to fly out for a week. We stayed in the city, and travelled there each day, visiting the different sectors, and sampling the bars and restaurants. After two days, we visited an agent, and on our last day got a lawyer to start our purchase. We loved it there, the people are so friendly, a complete community of what you need, shops etc.
I'm sure it is not for everyone, it is mainly an English area, but for us, it was perfect, and we can't wait to return in a few weeks.
I would say to anyone, go visit, there is bad press, and that is a shame, as I think issues are the minority from what we saw, and who we spoke to.

Don't be put off Camposol by people that have never visited the place ...and got their information from Tony down the Pub who has never been to Camposol either...like the previous poster said get on a airplane and come and see for yourself.. believe it or not Camposol is one of the safest place's in Spain to buy on ...all you hear about in Spain is builders going bust and running off with peoples money ..and not finishing the building work that people paid upfront for ...Camposol is largely British and has formed a powerful association called the CRA that has its own lawyers at hand for legal advise ...the Mazarron council do not like the CRA because it has uncovered corruption and as we speak are in the process of taking the council and the directors of Massa the builders to court if it wasn't for the CRA being at hand we like many others all over Spain would have lost our homes along time back.
If I had my time again I would not purchase anything in Southern Spain. Most not all think for example Benidorm Etc,etc is Spain they need to look at the whole of Spain for example the Asturias region.

There are certain sectors to be wary of for different reasons but really you need to come out & see for yourself it really is the best way. Reading forums & taking people’s opinions who may have their own agenda really doesn’t help. I know this from when I was in the U.K. researching Camposol. I came out to see for myself & it was nothing like I’d been lead to believe. It’s so much better. 😊
We agree, it was a great place when we rented and wanted to see everything.
Yes, we were shown the Villas falling down, and it looked very bad, but it is a small area that tends to be blown out of all proportion.
The residents are fantastic, all seem to pull together, and very friendly, and lots of working groups to belong to so you can be as busy as you want.
We have sold here back home, and awaiting contracts to be signed so we can buy our Villa for retirement, after all what is left of England, not a lot, and today we are told taxes to rise to pay for the NHS, and next we will have to pay for Brexit, so more taxes, and cost of living to rocket, look at the price of Petrol, Gas, Electric, Rates now with this years rises, its mad.
Hi
Im looking to come out to Camposol to buy a property, can you tell me if the supermarkets and Doctors is in sector A, if it is, how far walking is this to sector D as my father is elderly and if he stays there alone I want to know the amenities are near for him
Thanks
Sue
Hi,
You will need a car, or transport from D Sector to A Sector, it is to far to walk.
Even if you are very fit, it is still a long way.
All the amenities in Camposol are on A & B sectors apart from the Golf club which is on C Sector. D Sector is approximately 4km away from A & B. To be within easy walking distance of the amenities you really need to buy a property on A or B especially if you have an elderly relative. Even if fit & able it’s not great walking in the summer heat.
