Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their comments. It is all helpful, think Rich T is right we need to get over there and try it out for ourselves. Still divided on paper at least, although Nicola Sturgeon has just announced no air bridge for Spain from Scotland so another delay.....😡😞

Why not travel to England and fly from Manchester or Newcastle??? It appears Sturgeon does not want to revitalise any kind of tourism, if it involves the UK Government. Don't get me wrong, we all need to be careful with Covid 19, we all have a part in this, we all need to kick start the economies globally whilst being vigilant at the same time (for e.g. wear face masks when out and about, keep to social distancing at all times, respect other people's space). We bought last year on Sector D, it is quiet, you do need a car for the shops and restaurants.

I will get some stick for this....

The security is not great on camposol

In fact there are some properties that have squatters and or others that have been smashed in and looted. Street lighting also an issue.

This is not everywhere or every sector but the more isolated areas and without many permanent residents living nearby.

Any gated community is far safer for a lockup and leave. But you will pay a premium for that piece of mind.

The security on the Camposol urbanisation is supplied by the Spanish government..in the form of policemen in uniforms ...the Same security and policing that Spanglish gets in that lovely little village she lives in full of Spanish people ...so I guess Spanglish is suffering the same problems that the rest of Spain has to put up ...from burglar's / thefts / pick pockets  so forth .

We have had no crime issues at all. As we are in a village with neighbours that live full time there. Unlike Urbanizacións where many times the entire street perhaps excluding the odd house is uninhabited!!

I notice there was no denial of squatters and ransacked houses.....

like I said I will get stick for the post. However think about it. If there was a large estate in the Uk that at times only had 10% occupancy. Do you think there would be reduced crime or higher crime 🤔???

Spanglish property's that have been ransacked as you put it are the Monsura villa's owned by the banks ... most of the Monsura empty property's have now been sold ... with only a few remaining ...these properties have been ransacked by Spanish people from the Spanish villages that don't have any crime...as for squatters I don't know of any myself on Camposol but if there is I can only presume they are Spanish squatters ..as for only 10% the the property occupied .. this is Bollocks it's more like 60 % with full time Residents..and as for your utopian village having no crime I doubt this very much with a unemployment rate of 40% in Spain...and I will say it again Spanglish you should not be commenting on anything about Camposol as you don't live on the urbanisation ...why not join the forum that involves your utopian village and spread the love that you have for the place.
