Hi I’ve recently joined the forum and looks like we’ll be coming down to view properties at end of July. Just wondering what and if there is any crime in Camposol, what should we be aware of? Any help much appreciated 😊

Of course there is crime on Camposol, just like any large housing estate in the UK.

Probably no more or no less.

There are break in's & attempted break in's, hugger muggers, squatters & the opportunist handbag snatchers.

There is an active Facebook Crimewatch set up that reports suspicious people, cars etc.

Good evening, is there anyone renting out accommodations please? Will be looking for a place with at least two bedrooms and a swimming pool. Preferably near a beach. Many thanks

Sounds lovely. But as it’s the same as the UK it’s ok. I’m Irish and very interested that you just seem to accept what sounds horrendous as the norm? Not a great advertisement.

As Roland says, there is crime here, just as there would be in any housing estate of over 4,000 houses. Burglars and squatters often target houses that are unoccupied, holiday homes etc. Probably different is that you usually hear about all crimes that are committed, through Facebook and the security groups that are present on each of the four sectors. This may give the false Impression that there is more crime here than elsewhere.

It was an honest response to the original query.

It was a 'Super Helpful' reply.

The poster is not going to get a response to a query for rental accommodation in a thread entitled 'Crime Rate'.

If they start their own thread entitled 'Rental Accommodation Wanted' then they will get a response to that.
