Myself and my wife (62) are looking at buying property on camposol sector B Close to amenities, we intent to use our property as holiday home for 2/3 years then moving permanently.

Question i would like assistance on what average yearly or monthly cost on running 2 bed detached property would be, for example standing charges of gas / electricity/ telephone an Internet / council charges / none residency tax and anything else there maybe.

Appreciate if someone in similar situation could assist me on this.

We have planned to visit on 26th June for week to get feel for community. Flights booked and villa booked so fingers crossed restriction are lifted. And if anyone would like to say hi while we are looking around that would be great....

Hi

We have a 2 bedroom Rebecca and are full time residents. We have no pool but a hot tub which is on 24/7

Below are our average monthly costs spread out through the year as electric fluctuates

Electric 75

Water 25

Internet 30

Iptv 9

Car itv and service 10

Tax accountant 10

Ibi 16.50

House insurance 12.50

Car insurance 12.50

Gas 5

Wood for burner 8

Car tax 6

Diesel 50

Window cleaner 10

Non residents tax depends on value of property so does ibi. Our last one was 72.50 each for the year.

If for holiday home I recommend getting a key holder. We used Bev and Reto from busy bees. They are fab and only charge about 100 a year.

We have 2 Bed Detached Villa and in normal times we visit every 6 weeks ourbills are similar to Sunnyspain for insurance and taxes but our running costs per month are of course cheaper as its a holiday home.

Electric 36€ ( Fridge/Freezer & Security Lighting left on )

Water €15

Internet 20 € (we only pay when we are in Camposol no standing charge)

Community Charge 260€ per year for community pool & lighting

We have a Spainish Car that we leave at Alicante Airport 350€ per year a great service

Bev & Reto also keep an eye on the Villa €100 per year.

Good info above.

Just make sure you understand the post-Brexit implications of visas/Residency/income requirements before you take the plunge. These implications will be important when you choose to move here permanently.

Our water usage is low as we don't have a Pool so we've never reached the upper supply limit so our water bill is the same when we are in Camposol the cooker & hot water heater are supplied by gas bottles so again no standing charge and we have a Pellet burner for heating the pellets are not very expensive, the electric bill will be higher when we are at the Villa but not by a lot. Don't forget a lot of time is spent outside and we eat out a lot while in Spain and I said the insurance & taxes are much the same as mentioned by Sunnyspain although I believe non residents tax may increase due to Brexit, bank chargers have also increased but that's been covered in other posts on this forum.
