We are on C1, I find that walking to the shops and bars on B is OK, getting back is not usually a problem, I have never failed to thumb a lift home.  I also have an electric bicycle which is perfect.

Don't buy over the hill on C south, too many problems

Rent before buying, then talk to people living there.

Thank you, the Costa blanca was our other option. Is there anywhere in particular that you would recommend?

I would say that you definitely need a car. I am assuming you will have retired and are therefore of a certain age. While walking is potentially doable as a stroll I would not suggest it with a couple of bags of shopping

Having a car then opens up so many more opportunities for you in terms of places to visit, not least the beaches which are only about 15 minutes from Camposol

You have hit the nail on the head my friend. Definitely retired and looking to relax in the sun now. Have heard that there is a lot of red tape involved to bring your own car over, higher insurance with it being right hand drive etc. Hence the idea to come over get settled and then think about transport. Obviously we will need to rethink this and how we can proceed.

Much appreciate your advice, thank you.

If you really like a villa in sector C. try c10, there are some repossessed bunglows and most have been sold just after Xmas. You can walk to sector B where all amenities can be found. About 15 mins walk from C10. Otherwise sector A and B are better as there is everything you need without using a car. You can catch a bus to Mazarron from sector A which takes about 40 mins. Monsora properties were a better build and they keep the heat better in winter. Good luck with your search. Rent for a while if unsure, there are many to choose from...........

At the end of the day it is a personal choice plus what you can afford. Personally we prefer the quiet and solitude of sector D although a car is mandatory

Have never taken to A at all but only based on what we have seen which we appreciate may not be fully representative

Nothing wrong with many parts of C at all but in general I think you really need to consider a car as an investment for your future

We looked into bringing our UK car over when we move over full time but decided against it. We bought a 2nd hand car from carsinspain which is near Los Alcazares and he sorted everything out including a new itv and insurance. He normally has plenty of cars in his website. We opted to pay extra for an extended warranty.
