Any feedback from others on either posting or receiving mail. I paid €75 for a PO Box at Best Wishes and so far have received only my S1 forms since July. I know I have been sent letters I have never received. Yes I have checked all address details. Friends have sent cards two weeks ago and I still haven’t had anything. Has anyone else experienced similar or have any other recommendations about getting mail. The ‘post office ‘ yesterday seemed to be a complete shambles. I welcome any feedback.

I don't think the problem lies with Best Wishes more likely to be the Spanish postal system.

Or rather the lack of it.

Nothing like the Royal Mail in the UK I am afraid.

I never ever use the Spanish post. I do everything electronically.

FAST (Camposol's volunteer emegency Responder Service) has a Best Wishes post box. I order & receive supplies for FAST via it on a regular basis. Their opening hours are helpful. A lot of our medical supply items come from the UK.

Most of the stuff that comes into Best Wishes for us is via third party delivery companies, not the mail (Correos).

I prefer mail to come into our Correos box.

I do have a personal Correos mail box.  Mail arrives routinely. Sometimes post from the UK can be a little slow, but it works.
It's absolutely vital that incoming mail is correctly addressed. If it can't be properly and easily identified,it will languish for a few days then be sent to the 'returned mail' dept. It may then never see the light of day again.

I've also posted stuff to the UK & the USA via Best Wishes and the Correos. Never had a problem.

Thanks. I didn’t mean to insinuate that Best Wishes were at fault. They’re always v helpful. You have confirmed my suspicions that Spain really is Manana in some things. For years I have said that the young can be lazy due to modern technology. Of course you can E everything one method or another. It’s just rather less personal and although great in business (left that behind when I retired) a Christmas card is nicer in its material form than zapped across.🙂 Happy Ch

I've used Best Wishes for three or four yers now, without any problems.  Post from UK can be slow.

Mail sent to your street address will arrive at Correos but will only be held for 15 days or so - you have to be aware to go there to check.  However, parcels and registered mail will be house delivered.

Be patient, Christmas 2018 we received a New Year card posted early December 2017. This Christmas we are a bit short on cards, although we know people posted late November early December. This manana attitude takes a lot of getting used to!

There have been many reports of staff at Park Royal sorting office in London (where they handle mail for abroad) opening mail to steal the contents then disposing of the mail, so it is not all down to Correos. Items looking as if they may have cash or vouchers as gifts would be prime targets.

For many years we have only ever used bank transfers to the UK, never cash.

With us it is purely cards, no money no vouchers, just plain Christmas cards. The card that was delivered 12 months late was just a New Years card.

Don't ever rely on Correos to deliver anything to your house,  I dont live in Camposol now and where I now live, at best I get a "collection card" put in my buzon box.  Then I have to drive to Cartagena to get it.  Despite the fact my house in in Mazarron and I am only 10 minutes from the Correos office in the port.  Or its just gets lost and never turns up!!
