Hello

Does anyone else have a problem with their Gala toilet? Mine keeps water running into the bowl after it has been flushed and I have to perform some jiggery pokery each time I flush it in an attempt to stop the endless running water. I have tried cleaning the systern in case there is any dirt blocking the mechanism but to no avail. It is so irritating! Does anyone have an answer???

Many Thanks

If its a push button flush then you can't repair it, take it out and get a replacement.

It's a fiddly job but an easy one for a plumber, I much prefer the old handle flush much more reliable!

You need a new syphon .   fitted  by a plumber ...it's not something you would tackle yourself.

Yep it’s a push button! Do you know of a good plumber by any chance?

Many Thanks

Its about a 10 minute job to change. I have done all of ours. You can buy the part in Visanfers.

I fixed mine by buying a new flush mechanism from the Chinese shop. It wasn't exactly the same but I made a good one from the two and it has been working fine for months. Bit of a fiddly job but can be done. However, if you've got plenty of money better to get a plumber!!

It’s an easy job

Isolate the feed and then flush it to remove the water. Then fit new sython. Should take 30 mins tops. Easy peezy. Done loads of em and I’m not a plumber

Hmmmmmm

Without wishing to sound stupid I would have no idea how to “isolate the feed” and think I could make the problem worse. I think I will get a plumber to do it for me. Thank you for your help and advice.
