We're looking to buy on Camposol using Corral & Alcaraz solicitors. We would be grateful of any advice and tips buyers can offer around the conveyancing and, in particular, how quickly after putting a deposit down we would expect to be able to move in.

Also, if anyone has a property that was subject to the embargoes that were due to be lifted in May 2018 we would be interested in hearing the latest on this too should we look to buy in that sector.

We look forward to hearing from you. Cheers

Hi Poppy!

We used Alberto from Coral & Alcaraz, when purchasing our Classico on C14.

Expecting the sale to be 6-8 weeks, we were told when would we like to complete, 1 week, 4 or 6!.

Alberto was fab, his English is excellent, verbally and written through email. We found his responses to be amazingly quick, even sometimes during the evening and weekends.

We signed a power of attorney, which made our life a breeze, as Alberto sorted out everything, from obtaining our NIE’s, setting up Bank and Utility accounts, as well as online payments and direct debits. He set up our Spanish wills, which apparently makes things a lot simpler down the line. We would thoroughly recommend him and Coral, as we did also through a recommendation from friends.

I’m sorry I can’t speak for the current situation with regards to properties on D23, all we know is we have heard the embargoes are or will be lifted. The agents and especially Alberto will be able to tell you more on this matter. I hope this has been of help.

Many Thanks Gavin

Hi Gavin, thanks for the info. Like you we were expecting the conveyancing to take a minimum of 6 to 8 weeks but more likely a few weeks longer. It surprises us that there's a possibility of turning it around quicker. It's fantastic to hear good reviews for Alberto and Corral. Buying a property is stressful enough but to know we're in good hands is very reassuring.

Thanks again.
