I was wondering what others thought on this subject. Do you think this could be the major turn around that camposol has been crying out for. Do you think property prices could drastically go up ?

I don't think this will impact the price of properties. There are still so many properties to sell.

As there seems little difference in distance to either San Javier or Corvera, and firm details of what flights and costs there will be are not yet available I don’t see that this would be a factor in house prices down there.

It will depend on just how many flights will transfer to MDU from MJV and if and how many new destinations and carriers sign up.

I don't think it will affect Camposol prices, but in general it will be better for the region and I think house values will increase within the Murcia region, but not overnight. Leaving the military base will allow more commercial traffic into the new airport which can only be good for the economy.

I think it’ll go the other way.

It’ll bring more tourists to the area and local economy will improve. Those holidaymakers will love the port and local areas and those with money may look at holiday homes. That’ll push prices up around camposol, country club and condado.

The golf club will take off with golfers coming for golfing holidays. Etc etc

You can’t compare san javier airport with corvera. San javier is a military airport with only a few civilian flights per day  how on earth can that compare with a fully commercial public airport with 100s of flights daily?

I don’t agree with the other posters. I think property prices will start to rise and so will the local economy.

“ a fully commercial public airport with 100s of flights daily?”

Much though I support the change from MJV I would be amazed if there are 100 flights per day to Corvera, at least within the next 5 years or so!

There are negotiations with four airlines with so far only Jet2 signed up.
