Hi Everyone

Recently had a gas boiler installed to our villa on Section D.

Keep having issues with not firing - Company comes out and keeps saying insect got stuck in the firing tube so that’s what’s causing the boiler not firing up.

It seems strange if they know there is potential risks of insects getting in why aren’t they putting in a safety grill to avoid this happening as they want to keep charging for call out even though it’s under 2 year warranty

Anyone else experience issues with their gas boilers not firing because of insects

If it is the type that is just stuck on a wall outside with a metal box over it you will get many problems from dust and so forth blocking the pilot burner / main burner... according to the manufacturers these boilers require a flue and are not suitable for fixing outside in the open.

Camposol Heating and Maintenance installed our new boiler - totally different to the one who've had installed, is plugged into the wall. Could give them a call, see what they suggest.

The boiler I had installed I think was a Juncker - couldn't fault Camposol Maintenance & Heating, our old boiler stopped working when we arrived towards end of Sep, they replaced on the day we were flying back to blighty.

you should contact the manufacturer. it is probably a fault somewhere. there are always insects in boilers and they should not cause that problem.

I’m waiting for the company who installed it to come and discuss what to do as if there is a flaw they need to resolve it
