Hi and thanks for taking the time to look,

I know there is a lot of handyman around camposol. I work in the uk carrying out all sorts of small jobs, painting, cleaning, building, gardening, car valeting . I was wondering if there was any work or company’s looking for a work mate?  Thanks again

If you are under UK retirement age one of the biggest problems you will have to over come is health care insurance...if you can secure a full time job then your employer will pay this for you....if you cannot secure a job then you will have to be self employed this will cost you approximately 250 euros per month this single NI payment will cover you and you immediate family provided you are married ...this is the only way you will be aloud to stay in Spain as a resident's ...the majority of Brit's that are working in Spain in Bars/clubs/shops /builders/ cleaning pools tend to work for cash in hand to get them through the Summer season and then go home... jobs on the card's are few and far between... Good luck anyway.

I think you will find that the reduced rate is for new start ups...after 12 months or so it will rise ...my pool cleaner is paying around the 250 euro's a month and so are other's that i know that are self employed.. But what do I know good luck.

The rate for self employed autonomo dose differ as Steve correctly stated. It depends on the type of work or business you are in.

I was paying more than 250 a month back in 2002 but that was with my SL company.

Also you do not have to go self employed or get a job to be allowed to stay in Spain.

There are many options depending on your circumstances.

Of course you you don't need employment if you want to be a resident in Spain but the original poster is looking for work...if you are in early UK retirement and not looking for work ...you will have to prove that you will not be a burden on the Spanish tax payers... according to sources a married couple will have to provide proof of a regular income of approximately €14,000 euros per year and a Private health insurance policy before they are accepted as residents.
