I've not had much need for medication (thankfully) but from what I've seen, prices seem to be lower in Spain for most items in the pharmacia.

...ly competitive company is Adelas, the rate are up to 50% lower than the big two, but coverage is a little more restricted. 

If you are in your 60's then expect to pay about €300 a month for a couple.
