Hi

What are the average prescription charges in Spain, in the U.K. they are free after 60.

Also what is the retirement age in Spain?

Hi. Not sure what the retirement age is in Spain however if you have reached retirement age in the U.K. then you will pay 10 percent of the cost of the prescription.

P.S. I should add that you need to be registered for health care here to obtain this.

If you are on the system and not retired you have to pay 40%

We have checked the other way - a GP is happy to register us as a visitor and give full health cover - but we are pensioners registered here with the S1.

Hi

I had 3 months supply which will run out next week, although I have got the S1 I can’t get it registered until I get a certificate of residence, which seems to be a minefield

If you have a prescription it could be worth going to the farmacia near the Saturday market - same parade as Juangalo ferreteria- and talk to Pepe, or Juan who speaks perfect English.
