Hi all

Can anyone tell me how much it is for private medical insurance for a type 1 diabetic.

I have looked at previous posts & can't find an answer to my question.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I think you'll need to get quotes from insurers - try Sanitas (part of the Bupa group); DKV; ASSSA - or alternatively a broker who should do the leg work for you in trying to find the best deal (but, remember, they will either charge a % to you, or get paid a % by the insurer for their work).

Hope this helps!

Also depends on your age. We have been with Asssa for nearly 3 years. We have had various scans and hospital appointments. Jane in the port is brilliant. If we have translation issues at an appointment she is always at the end of the phone to assist and so far after numerous visits to numerous hospitals and clinics in the last 12 months we have not had to pay for a translator. With Asssa you use the doctors next to the pharmacy on A sector or Rover in town. I went to rover no appointment was seen in 5 minutes injection given and prescription
