We bought on D specifically because it is so quiet and isolated. If a car goes by the house of an evening we have to take a look as it is so unusual. That being said you will need a car for the amenities but if it is peace and quiet you are looking for during the day and evening then you could do a lot worse and I am sure there are many varied properties to suit your needs. Good luck.

Hi everyone.

Our names are Rob and Sharon.  We are thinking of moving to the area early next year.  Of course we have read the horror stories and the positive ones.  Tend to lean towards the positive if we’re honest.

Any advice on which sector to look?  We’re not looking to be isolated but, don’t want to be so close to amenities that we are struggling with the noise.

Sounds like Camposol has an amazing community with lovely people.  Would be a privilege to join you.

Sharon & Rob

We are on B, only 700 meters walking from supermarket, bars, hairdresser etc. and no noise at all.

For me A and B are the best, the others are too far away from shops. You always have to take your car.

Dag Sharon,

Dag Rob,

Groetjes

Marnix en Carine

We have heard many horror stories about illegalities, subsidence and flooding.

Should we be wary of a particular area?

Is there an area to stay away from?  We’ve heard reports of flooding, subsidence and dodgy paperwork.  Prices are cheaper in Campasol, I was wondering if that is the reason.

IMO, the horror stories are both old and exaggerated. There are still some areas where problems can be seen but generally I would say there is no where to explicitly avoid but you will be able to see the general area when you view the property

If you have a good estate agency, they work with a lawyer who will check everything so you will not have surprises like debts or construction violations.

Yes, many horror stories are old. You can see some properties with subsidence issue when you are there. However, there are many many stunning houses on Camposol. This April, we were taken by an estate agents to this calle. We were showed these bungalows. There were cracks everywhere inside as well as outside. Huge cracks on dividing walls and the agent was trying to sell these to us !! The ground was clearly still shifting we would imagine. I would avoid those detached 1 bed roomed bungalows in Calle Quescada. Lower sector C was or is still an area to be aware of. We however, ended up buying one on upper C and it is beautiful. The views were breathtaking and so quiet.

We didn't have a good feel of Camposol when doing our research back in the UK but we were sold as soon as we saw the house, the views and the surrounding amenities. You need a car on Camposol but that is not the end of the world. There are many stunning houses on sector A BC n D. Check it out yourself.
