We are moving out to D on 1 Dec and our Mum is 89 looking to find any social groups we could take her to so she can meet new friends. Recently widowed we hope to settle her here quickly. Thanks in anticipation Annette

Hi Annette ,take care of her in the heat especially July /August can reach 40c plus Aircon a must for old folks.winter weather a bonus compared to the Uk but watch that summer heat its relentless, and can quite quickly cause problems if not monitored, young and old alike.The Chronical usually gives good advice re heat worth a read .Its something I'd read up about, before the summer arrives so that you are well prepared.
