Indeed if you drive within a 45 minute radius then there is plenty!!!

I thought the question was “will the kids be bored” on camposol...........

Is there plenty to do? Answer no nothing.

If the question was is there anything within 45 mins drive ..... there is plenty !!

Why not admit it’s not catered for children at all?? Phill / frequent

But more for ret

Spanglish..name one urbanisation in Spain that has plenty on it for kids... generally the entertainment is geared up for adults eating and drinking ...if you want your kids to be kept occupied then it's up to you asparents to get off your back side and take them out for the day it's not down to the residents of any urbanisation to keep your kids entertained while you get pissed up in the local bars... Camposol is not a purpose built holiday resort... it's just a big housing site in the sun.

If it were me, I'd be looking at Los Alcazares, Santiago de la Ribera, Lo Pagan, San Javier. All have good Brit populations, character, and more flexibility for youngsters.

Hi Darryl

welcome to the forum.

we bought a place on sector D this year as firstly a holiday home. we hope to go 4 or 5 times a year. we are going for Christmas this year. .

we have 12 yr old twins & yes you will need a car, but providing your willing to take the kids out. their is plenty to do & see for the family. I do agree with the following posts, everyone is just being honest.

we love camposol & the community, not forgetting the weather. for a short flight from the uk & a 35 minute drive from the airport. you can be in your sunny holiday home & away from the hustle of working life.

we originally went to view fiesta properties for around 43k euros, but even though they were nice. we felt the next property size up [ Rebecca ] was for us. more internal / external space. it cost us 50k euros plus taxes 12% this is for everything solicitors etc.

so you will always need to budget the extra cost in with your budget.   purchase price + 12%

the entertainment on A + B is more for adults music wise, but don't forget camposol has its own festival [ fiesta ] every year, which is for the whole family. this is normally in late august.

if you will be on sector D, it will be about a 45 minute walk either way to sector B [ bars etc ] and 20 minutes to the golf club.

camposol doesn't have its own swimming pool, but a 5 minute drive. you can go to the country club pool [ in summer holidays only ] and use their pool for about 3 euros each entry. they have a really nice pool [ kids love it ] bar & food.

their are lots of local beaches around & the port etc. the water park in Murcia is approx. a 40 minute drive either way. they also have a zoo here & you can do both for no extra cost.

I believe given time, camposol will change for the better. street lighting everywhere , maintenance & possibly even a bar or shop on sector D. The hotel has now been taken over & will open sometime soon. this may bring more visitors to the area apart from golfers & with more visitors an infrastructure which is already in place. things can only get better. but it is already nice & pleasant. I wasn't being negative.

so my opinion is ; camposol is a great place to be & the kids will be fine. everyone has a budget whether its big or small , you just need to work with what's good for you without stretching yourself. so if you can only afford a small place, so be it.

it will still be your castle in the sun. which you & the family will love.

good luck & hopefully we can bump into each other and enjoy a drink or two.

You won't buy a 2 bed villa for €55,000 in any of the locations mentioned above... only Camposol will give you value for very little money.

Wow frequent flyer. Again ranting.  No one asked you to look after our kids wth a theme park style urbanisation.

Just perhaps a park.. even you couldn’t get upset about a swing or seesaw.. maybe a little basket ball court or even tennis court that could be multi use .... let alone a pool.

None of these are available .....

So when people ask what facilities are there for children?? Perhaps you should  carry on getting pissed in those bars. While the people who listened to you spend there time not drinking as they are driving everywhere in order to keep the kids entertained.

Truth hurts.. so do lies

This problem will always show it's ugly side on this forum if people keep asking people from Camposol what it's like! Some say the truth, and that obviously offends those who tend to colour the truth. I always find it useful to look at Google Earth for any location which is new to me, even a holiday or hotel location.

On there you'll see the remote location of Camposol, virtually drive around the streets and get a very good picture without actually being there. Of course, you'll not see anything there for kids i.e.no playgrounds, swimming pools etc or clubs. If you think it then warrants a visit you go and have a look yourself, but my advice is to stay objective about the whole exercise, and that really applies to any property search.

I expect I'll now be getting some flak from the usual's at Camposol. You don't have to live there there to know what it's like. Suits some people and that's fine with me, but it helps no one to lie and wrangle on a public forum. PM's are there for sensitive and personal info, and that's what the previous member did.

Hi, hope you don't mind me jumping in. We are thinking of buying next year around the same price bracket. Is the Rebecca bigger than the clasico or about the same? Fiesta would be too small.

Many thanks

Caroline
