Hey can anyone give me a rough idea of costs to transport all your furniture from the UK to Spain and has anyone got any recommendations for removal companies please.

I would recommend Lords Removals have been going many years and have a good reputation.email: [email protected]

UK OFFICE

  • Omaha Drive
    The Rydons
    Exeter, EX2 7AY
    Tel: 07709 557 109
  • Spanish office.
  • Calle Holanda
    Alhama de Murcia Ind Est
    Spain
    Tel: 608 061 872

Costs I believe have increased dramatically through the Uk leaving the European Union, also you must now take into consideration the extra cost of fuel.

I ask do you really need to bring all your furniture and belongings with you?

I would estimate £3,000 - £5,000 in removal costs.

If this is your one-time move and you are taking up residency, you are exempt from import duty and IVA, but the removal company will need to complete quite detailed customers paperwork for you.

Hi there, good luck with your move. Cost will obviously depend on the volume of your goods. We moved pretty much all our furniture when we moved over. We did ask a couple of the removal firms here, but the volume was bigger than they could fit in one van, so we had quotes from 3 companies and chose from those and ensured that they were fully insured. They grouped loads and made several deliveries at a time, which meant a delay of about 2 weeks after our arrival, before our goods arrived.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and we found out that we really didn’t need to bring everything with us. Three years on and we still have boxes that we haven’t opened.
In particular, white goods such as fridges and freezers are a different specification here than in the UK, where they are not designed to function in high temperatures. If you get the chance, speak to the folks at Euronics in B sector on Camposol. They are a mine of useful information about these things.

Hope this helps.

Unless your furniture is of sentimental value really not worth going to all that bother what looks good in your uk home doesn’t always have the seem appeal in Spain . I found that I could pick really good quality furniture in second hand shops at a very good price if you’re on a budget . Good luck with your relo

Hi Emma,

We used Wiseguys (ambrose transport) for our furniture move in January 22. Excellent service throughout and they will sort out all paperwork and taxes etc. We had 40m2 which cost £5k. Hope it gives you rough idea.

Regards

Mick

Lords removals done ours.couldnt fault them.

We had televisions, mirrors, treasured ornaments and lots more fragile belongings, all turned up unscathed.

However didn't move nigh on a whole house.

But Lords were absolutely fantastic, on time both ends brilliant customer care with it, couldn't recommend them highly enough.

Having said that it's my opinion, you may choose someone else, but whoever you choose good luck with your move
