Hi all,

For the last five years I have worked out of home, currently from a flat in a tower block up near Manchester. I have been increasingly getting itchy and realising that I can do this job from anywhere providing I have a solid, stable, internet connection. If I have to get two to ensure that that's OK.

From what I have read so far it all looks very promising down there. I'm definitely coming down there in May for a look round with my brother, he's looking at buying somewhere but I'm thinking of perhaps getting a long term rental, they actually look far cheaper than what I currently pay in the UK.

I'm just looking for a little better climate and surrounding than I currently have, could Camposol be for me?

In your case I would definitely advise ruling out anywhere that does not currently have optical fibre broadband, in and working. Do not believe promises of "within x months".

If all you need is internet access and it's a choice between a flat in a Manchester tower block or a villa on Camposol then I know which I'd go for 😂

Check out Compusurf website who are one of the internet suppliers on Campo

Compusurf on Camposol has a speed of around 10 ....it is transmitted around the site via a very small dish that is normally fitted on the roof...I have been using this service for a number of years and find it very good. Believe it or not I only get a maximum speed of around 5 in the UK.

I would probably be looking at somewhere where I can have both the Compusurf and the Telitec fiber. I'm not sure how much the fiber has been rolled out though, is it particular sectors? I think I read they have done sector C.

Anyway, I'll find out more in May, I booked yesterday to pop down for five days to take a look :)

Thanks Peter,

Me and my brother just two days ago just booked to come over for five days on May 18th, wish I had known that a few days ago!

This will be available for longer term rental?

Regards

Darren
