Hi thanks for revealing this to us as we need a builder to our newly acquired villa. But we need to know who to avoid.  Is it possible to name him to us. If not we might fall for the same. But we need bedroom on the roof.

Make sure you get all the legal permission, or you probably will get big problems later, as far as I have been told, there is still no legal permission to build any thing since 2015, and this is backed up by the write up on Camposol 2025.

Hi Michael

He was recommended and yes we looked at some work he apparently done.

We agreed in good faith where I'm concerned.  I've done nothing wrong apart from lost almost 5500.00 euros, so no, I'm not leaving it.

Yes, everyone bangs on? Who was it.

Don't worry, I will let everyone know in due coarse. I have all the info I need to know for my trip out to camposol soon to see the authorities.

So thank you to everyone. You've been helpful.  But I will leave this conversation now.

Hi,  I think your comment "yes everyone bangs on who was it" is wholly inappropriate after the advice you received from members on this forum. People are rightly concerned that this cowboy builder is still operating and probably pricing new projects as we "bang on" who was it??? I acknowledge that you thanked people for advice received and said you will let everyone know in due course.

Name and shame now please

Gaxx

Hi all

Please can you help me in the right direction.

I'm a holiday home owner on camposol. I paid a tradesman ( won't mention names yet ) a lot of money in cash. As I wasn't set up for transfer at that time.

He said he will not charge tax . He done the job and it all has to be done again as it was awful and is now falling apart.

I've contacted him to ask to be reimbursed, as I now have to pay someone else to do that job properly.

He doesn't want to know, so my only option is to report him for none payment of tax on my job ( and there's properly others ) I have evidence he didn't want to pay or declare tax.

How do I report him to the authority so he gets investigated

I'm uk based. So i don't know how to sort this.

Thanks in advance

Hi everyone.

As promised, the cowboy ( so called )  builder EVERYONE NEEDS TO AVOID on camposol.

Who has carried out work, which only lasted 18 months. And was incorrectly installed, as he doesn't know what he's doing or doesn't give a ??????. is.

ROB NEAL

Lives on sector C

Owes me alot of money, we can't get hold of him. Your only allowed to message his wife ( what a man, can't sort his own mess )

His wife is now ignoring every message or communication we send. Hoping we go away.

WRONG, I'm just getting started.

So stay clear if you want building work carried out of ROB NEAL.

Many people do it anyway and it's only when you sell the house again that a lawyer has to do the paperwork to make everything legal (for a couple of 100 euros).

Is it not correct that Mazarron Ayto have now lifted the embargo on planning permissions now, since the new edict they have communicated to us poor Camposolers?

Not correct. It seems they will adopt parts of Camposol once the designated work has been completed, in each area. That will (hopefully) allow them to lift the restrictions piece by piece as each part is completed. This is a twelve year project, so hopefully we will see progressive improvements.

Not quite correct. It can cost you many thousands or tens of thousands depending on what work you have completed. I know of one instance where the seller had to pay €15,000 for the works to enable the sale to proceed.

We dit it with a lawyer and an architect, and it was about a covered terrace and a garage.
