Hi all

We are thinking of adding an extra bedroom/bathroom to our villa and I know lots of people just carry on regardless but we want to apply for the correct building license. We have been to the town hall and we need some drawings to submit with our application

We have approached a couple of architect companies but they want an arm and a leg just to do a couple of drawings

Anyone know someone who does drawings for a reasonable price

For a major project like that the town hall will almost certainly insist on plans from a firm registered with the College of Architects, so fees will be from their list of charges. If you ever want to be able to sell the house in the future then this is your only route. If you can reverse the process and find a good builder they will no doubt recommend an architect they have worked with before.

Hi again ,

It cost me 900 euro  for the drawings for my workshop which included submitting them to the collage... town hall... and being passed with all the paperwork of proof.

Hope this helps.

Good morning

Hope you are well and staying safe

I have had a form of Architechs around ‘husband and wife ‘ team they were very helpful and have been to the town hall to check if it’s possible for my extension and everything is fine . Their fees are similar to yours but they are trying to get the whole package together ie inspecting to works waste management etc . I don’t want this as I’m a retired builder and have lost count of the number of extensions I have built over the years so I certainly don’t need them checking if it’s being built correctly , they seem to be saying that it’s compulsory for me to have this package. Could you please tell me once your license was permitted was that the last contact you needed with the town hall?

Rob
