I would suggest changing banks. Transferwise online transfer money bank now do payments by direct debit. You no longer have to have a Spanish account to pay Bill's. Good luck, it's always difficult to deal with things from a distance
First thing I’m going to do is go to back of town hall get another paper issued and the. Go back to my bank. I will be asking why when it clearly says direct debit it has suddenly stopped. That’s why I set up these DDs so all my bills are paid. I don’t want to go to bank first and then to say oh yes you have to go back to town hall and then return to them to set it up again. This time I will make sure it’s a direct debit but o think someone has made a mistake somewhere.
