Hairdresser - no, can't help, my husband neatens my ends when necessary!!
Vets - there are 2 in Cehegin, they are both very good. Juan (Clinica Veterinaria Noroeste) is close to the bottom of the Gran Via (the Canara end). Alfonso (Clinica Veterinaria Camino Verde) is 1st right off the road called Camino Verde which is off the Gran Via. Juan was wonderful when our cat had FIP many years ago. Alfonso has gone 'above and beyond' several times when we have had to call him out urgently so we always use him.
The Centro de Salud in Cehegin is excellent. It is open from 0800 to 1500 Mon-Fri. Also there is an emergency clinic outside those hours underneath the Centre so there is always help if you need it. As you have moved from an area within Murcia, I would imagine that you could just turn up at the Health Centre with your card and register with a Doctor rather than going to the Social security office in Caravaca. The only Doctor who speaks good English is Dr. Lobo, the last time I heard, he was not accepting any new patients but you could ask.
I'm not sure, but I think there may be a 'satellite' clinic in Canara.
We always use a translator for anything official, Dr and hospital appointments. We use Carolina and highly recommend her, her number is: 616 13 91 75. She is Spanish and a Ceheginero so she could probably recommend a hairdresser.
There are a couple of bars in Canara, there's one on the main road through the village. I don't know if there are any British customers. In Cehegin, you will find British locals in the Gran Via at Lucio's or opposite at Evalo's. Especially on a Wednesday - market day.
Can't help with the car! Good luck.
