Hi all,

I would like to know what the best options are regarding Electricty and water etc. I haven't changed my deals since buying my property 4 years ago.

I have also just emptied my post box for the 1st time and found all of my monthly bills from Iberdrola etc.  As I appear to be spending around 35Euro per month (which I assume is a standard connection charge?) I'm thinking perhaps a meter might be a better option?  As this is our only visit in the last 2 years I'm a bit frustrated at 'wasting' around 800Euros!

Any advice appreciated!!

Thanks

You have to pay the Standing Charge, there is no other option. This is, effectively, the cost of 'renting' the meter and maintaining the electrical connection and availability of power. It's not Iberdrola's fault that you haven't been there and used the property!

The charge is a rate x number of days x your potencia (which is the agreed maximum kW you can draw from the grid. Commonly this is 5.75Kw, but could be as low as 3.3 or as high as 9.2).

You can have your potencia reduced, but bear in mind that you may blow fuses if you use over that amount.

Just checking if any owner would be interested in renting a 3 bedroom apartment on Condado de alhama for 1 year ?
