I have to agree that travel will not be possible any time soon. We were last at our property 1 March 2020. We have had countless flights cancelled and I suspect there will be more. Guess it is a first world COVID problem! Hopefully September or October may be possible? Good luck everyone.

Yes I think it will be between Aug - Oct, before some sort of guaranteed travel will be available.

We have a new grandson born in UK last April, who will be 1 year old shortly, and we have not been able to hold him.

Our flights home constantly canceled, but safety first.

In the meantime we have had our jabs so on the way to some protection, lets hope it works.

Speaking to a health official he said Camposol was a very safe place, and has never been on the hit list, but they will protect it with lock down if required, as it works on large communities.

Yes come back soon, Camposol you cannot beat it, and they have started to fix all the lights on D, fantastic, lets hope they keep working.

Permitted reasons from Boris giving the go-ahead for British citizens to leave the UK, does not constitute permitted entry to Spain until the Spanish government elects to. Stay safe and healthy my friend.

It was the Spanish Government who lifted the ban on the UK for travel from 30th March - so are they lying? Have they changed their mind? or is it that they are not up to scratch with their vaccination programme as they say?

Spain may have lifted the ban, but you are not allowed to leave the UK on holidays at the moment. In other words if you are not of Spanish residence status, you can't legally leave the UK.

Correct. Initially Johnson had listed travel abroad as ok if it was related to property business (including maintenance). A couple of days later that was deleted. No logical reason as to why, particularly given the large scale immunising of the over 50s and the willingness of the Spanish authorities to permit entry on these grounds subject to vaccination or a negative virus test. Maybe pressure from the EC not to give special treatment to non-EU countries.

From 30th March, entry to Spain was only granted to those persons who can demonstrate that their journey to Spain is essential, as well as those who are legally resident in Spain. Entering merely to visit, even those with a with a second home in Spain is not a justified reason to enter Spain, UK Nationals must make sure that they meet requirements to leave the UK and those to enter Spain and should be aware of the continuing travel restrictions.

Hi

Just an update on travel. Ryanair have just cancelled our flight to Murcia booked for 14th May. We would both have had 2 vaccinations by then so not sure what is going on at the moment

As I understand it, there will be no "leisure" travel for UK residents before 21st June at the earliest. Probably very few seats sold to Spanish residents and unlikely to increase.

Yes agree, its what we were told, and that do not expect smooth travel until at least Aug - Oct, I tend to think this is right also, as the rules alter at a moments notice subject to the rise or fall in the virus figures.

With so many "staycations" being pushed on the TV, I have the overwhelming impression that the Govt don't want UK citizens to travel abroad, but to stay and spend their money in the UK this year. They will find some excuse to stop foreign holidays OR make them difficult with covid tests etc so it's winter time before you can travel. If we have had to "save" the useless NHS , it will be under pressure from cancelled operations and treatments and will have no hope of coping with another outbreak and/or 'flu from October onwards.

Yep,I am sure Boris will want all the money spent in the UK, and not abroad.

I think people will also start thinking is it worth buying abroad, look at the trouble when things go wrong.

In addition many will probably think of selling up, and returning home, as family contact is no longer easy with no daily flights as used to be, this will make people think of what is their priority now, and for the future.

Covid will not go away, it will need constant vaccinations, my opinion, and people may not want to go through all this again being stuck abroad.
