We have house insurance through Cajamar, and found them quick and efficient when we needed to claim, as well as helping to reduce bank charges.

I have a Cajamar Wefferent account and pay no charges asked for a quote for home insurance last week and was quoted over 300 euro for a 2 bed apartment I have in Santiago la Ribera
Liniadirect who I have used for all of my insurances quoted 167 euros after a discussion with them this morning we agreed on 120 euros.
I often recommend liniadirect and always say never accept their first price always negotiate have a bit of polite banter and you may be surprised.
By the way , I also had a claim earlier this year and they paid out 397 euros no question asked 🙂

Hi PeteC, you say house insurance is with Cajamar bank, which I will open once in Spain currently with Sabadell (who love to charge) but Roland as mentioned stay away from bank insurance, which seems he’s not the only one to say this.
Cajamar banking is free, as I’ve but informed on the forum, I presume this is correct?
As for house insurance I’m looking & possibly go with Zurich (are these rated?) Thanks PaulD

If you are thinking of going to the Insurance broker in los Alcazares suggest on here as Zurich that was previously advertised as Liberty.
I Personally had a very bad experience with them using a service they offered, they made a big mistake in the end (which I have in writing) admitted they didn't know the law regarding the situation.
Beware brokers are not always the best option

Not teaching you how to suck eggs but remember the insurance value of your property is not what you paid.
In Spain a good guide is the castral value. Obviously the contents is your decision .
