Got a Spanish Kiss yet ? Look at Spanish cars most of them have a scrape down the side or a dent or two. French drivers arn't much better all suffer from 'Dogs disease'

It's not a proper Spanish car unless it has dents, scrapes, scratches and bits generally missing or hanging off.

yepone thing Zi should have added ,when The system just brought this up as an unsent message , I thought I had sent it days ago and yep I've had a Spanish kiss as. I also had one in Dublin in Aberdeen San Fransisco and Birmingham a near miss in Istanbul which at the time was hilarious but a long story but when had the serious accident in San Javier, apart tfrom the police and ambulance service bring Great, something I didn't expect was that s load of local teenagers in the side street where it happened not only cared for me but took photos of the scene and remained to show them to the police , lovely lads and lasses

You're very modest Rick, actually I assumed the opposite - that you were quite young! Usually it's the young who have these kinds of accidents but I'm be pleased you survived to tell the tale.
I am pleased you gave the credit to all involved, especially the teenagers who often get bad press. You're right, accidents can happen anywhere in any part of of the world, no country has the monopoly on that.
Stay safe, happy driving.

Hi
Can anyone tell me where I can get a English copy of the Spanish high way code please
It would be more useful if you got the original version in Spanish then went through it, translating as you go. This way you will start to be able to understand motoring law - after all the signs and instructions you will come across are in Spanish.

Just checked our book, yup, signs (as in UK) are pictorial only. 90% exactly the same as signs in UK. But there is writing, next to each sign in book, which gives explanation ... so your suggestion of get spanish version and translate could be a good way to go. But if you need to learn quite quickly .....
