Yes, and so it should be Eduardo, because anyone scooting around offering 'charged for' transport services needs to be adequately insured for everyone's benefit  :)

You are the one that started this post, and have been told by many that it is illegal here in Spain to do what you suggest however good an idea it may seem to you.

Maybe you got away on Ibiza but you must remember that if all the many different nationalities did what you suggested, the car crushers would be working overtime, and the Ayuntamiento coffers would be full.

...

It is illegal in Spain to transport people or goods for remuneration Eduardo without the correct license and insurance..... as it is in the UK too.

In neither country is it illegal to collect friends/family from the local supermarket, schools, beach, cinema etc. ..... it happens every day, and everywhere. As long as no-one is charging for their services they are not committing an offence... but simply living their lives with friends and family.

Anyone who decides that transporting people and/or goods on a regular paid basis however, would of course be breaking the law; and it is very obvious neither you or I would be interested in doing that!

I'm off to Birmingham airport now to collect my next door neighbours on their return from a half term break in Lanzarote........ and no, I'm not charging them :)
